Road of Development

In view of the great potential for enterprise software in the Asia-Pacific region, B.E.L. was first founded in 1989. Extensive research development and trial runs have been carried out on our ERP/MRPII product - ESP. Early in the design phase, ESP has been positioned to be a versatile solution for the global ERP market. In 1992, we developed the double-byte system that added multi-lingual capability and we now support English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Japanese interfaces. Our modular structure allows us to add an additional languages in 4 weeks’ time.

While many software companies have not yet fully grasped the implications of an integrated ERP system, B.E.L. is carrying out study on ways to satisfy company headquarters’ need to monitor their remote sites using a low-cost, real time communication method. In 1995, we acquired HongKongLink Communications Ltd., an Internet Service Provider, to carry out research on the performance impact of ERP Systems over an uncontrolled network environment, that is Internet.

Aside from communication , we developed a cross-platform intuitive user-friendly interface as early as 1996 making ESP capable of running on both Mac and Windows operating systems.

2007 is an important year for us when we embarked on releasing our management-oriented Retail Management Module. Unlike most POS (point of sales) and retail system that mainly focus on front-line operation and automation, we aim to make use of ESP as a backbone to handle growing demands from consumers, provide data analysis and management information that help our customers grow their business in an ever competitive market.
